once a week give plant a drink from the top of the pot with cold tea (cold tea is better than water straight from the tap)
do not allow the pot to sit in water
keep out of direct sunlight
keep away from cold draughts
loves steam i.e., bathrooms
keep away from fires and other heat sources (radiators etc.)
after the last bloom drops the plant sleeps for a few months
if stalks die (yellowish), cut off above last eye
at this stage allow the plant to drink very sparingly (once a month, or the roots drown), until the plant wakes up. You’ll be aware of this when new shoots and blooms appear
